As the Business Development Manager you will: 

  • Be confident generating your own leads, fearlessly cold call
  • Target and contact prospects using a variety of l methods
  • Build professional relationships with prospects through networking, communications and interactions
  • Provide detailed, thorough understanding of PEO services and quantify the value and benefits to prospects
  • Utilize data to position products and services
  • Identify prospects’ needs and demonstrate the Company’s back office solutions
  • Effectively demonstrate the Company’s positive financial impact to prospects
  • Meet individual new business activity and production goals
  • Prepare proposals and deliver presentations to prospective clients
  • Represent the organization at trade shows and conferences to promote products and services



  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications, sales, marketing or related field
  • Minimum 2-4 years related sales experience in B2B environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Prior experience selling PEO, payroll, employee benefits, or HR outsourcing
  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation


  • Conceptual Sales Skills. Results-oriented with a positive outlook, clear focus and confidence with interactions among business owners and financial professionals in all work environments
  • Relationships. Genuine, hardworking and ethical; Possess ability to build lasting, productive, and beneficial relationships
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Analytical. Understanding of financial concepts, how companies make money, and how to use understanding to find successful strategies for businesses
  • Independent Thinking. Possess confidence in abilities and know when to challenge status quo to create better outcomes
  • Influencer. Possess competent, assertive, and resilient attributes


  • Demonstrated knowledge of personal computer applications Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook
  • Familiar use with Customer Relationship Management systems such as Microsoft CRM

As the Business Development Manager you will receive:
